Photography in Tibet :
Tibet is a photographer's paradise. The clear blue sky rolling over the vast open plains with grazing yaks and with the backdrop of snowy mountains and rolling hill is absolute awesome. It is sometimes jokingly said that even a careless shot in Tibet could get you a photographer's award.

It is recommended that you buy sufficient films, batteries and other necessary accessories to last you for the whole trip.

Photography is allowed in most places except security areas. The monasteries usually charge for photographs, often quite a lot.
When taking photos, you must respect Tibetan customs. In some areas, people believe that it is inauspicious to have their photo taken, so it is suggested that you ask for permission before you photograph them. Giving presents sometimes works well to show your friendliness. In some monasteries, it is prohibited to take photos and at other places a certain amount of money may be charged. The amount depends on different monastery. Taking photos in prohibited areas, such as military areas can land you in trouble. It is advisable to take extra batteries as recharging cameras may not be possible at certain paces and you would definitely not want to miss any of those moments.

Electricity :
