Visa Regulation :

ENTRY VISA

Visa for Nepal can be obtained in your country of residence from the Royal Nepalese Embassy/Consulate. It can also be obtained at the Airport upon arrival or at the following immigration offices in Nepal:(Visa fees are subject to change)

Entry Procedures & Visa Rules
Gratis visa for 30 days available only for tourists of SAARC countries.
Indian nationals do not require visa to enter into Nepal.

 

VISA REGULATIONS

Department of Immigration: The department is located at Bhrikuti Mandap, Katmandu.

Office Hour: The department opens from Monday to Friday form 9 am to 5 pm or to 4 pm in winter.

Visa Regulations: As per the latest visa regulation of Nepal, the following provisions have been made effective with regard to the revised tourist and business visa fees.

1. A tourist may stay in Nepal up to 150 days in a visa year (January-December)
2. Visa fees: For those who are entering into Nepal first time in a visa year:

Tourist Visa Fee:

 - Multiple entry 15 days US$ 25 or equivalent convertible currency
 - Multiple entry 30 days US$ 40 or equivalent convertible currency
 - Multiple entry 90 days US$ 100 or equivalent convertible currency

 

Tourist Visa Extension

Visa extension fee for 15 days or less is US$ 30 or equivalent convertible currency and visa extension fee for more than 15 days is US$ 2 per day. Tourist visa can be extended for a maximum period of 150 days in a single visa year (January – December).

Transit Visa

Transit visa for one day can be obtained from Nepal's immigration offices at the entry points upon the production of departure flight ticket via Tribhuvan International Airport in Nepal, by paying US$ 5 or equivalent convertible currency.

Business Visa with multiple entry facility for the period of one year and five years can be obtained from the Department of Immigration of the recommendation of Ministry of Industry by paying the equivalent of US$ 100 and US$ 250 respectively in the Nepalese currency for the foreign investorsVisa extension if necessary can be done from the immigration office in Kathmandu or Pokhara.

Visa forms are available at the entry point. One passport size photograph is required. It will help to speed up the visa process if you carry the exact amount in US Dollars.

It is mandatory for Indian nationals to carry their passport or valid nationality card
