Tea House
or Lodge Trek :
|
|
|
Camping treks
were designed especially for the treks
during early years when accommodation was
scarce reroute. These days, very good lodges
are available around all popular trekking
routes. We suggest lodge treks where
available as it gives you and opportunity to
interact with the locals and also saves
precious time making camps and most
important of all, you save a huge amount in
trekking cost.
What is included in Lodge treks?
Teahouse or Lodge treks can be organized for
popular trekking routes such as those in the
Annapurna region, Everest region and
Langtang region where local teahouses and
lodges are available for night halts. During
Teahouse treks, we provide a guide/escort
and a porter for every two persons or as per
requirement and all meals and accommodation
will be in the best available teahouses. |

Ghorepani Trek : |
A full day is spent in
Kathmandu visiting two major
cities of the valley. An
interesting day hike through
pine forest along the ridge
to Nagarkot Hill Station
(2,174 m) offers you an
opportunity to stretch your
legs and to prepare for the
coming trek.
Ghorepani Trek starts from
Pokhara valley and takes you
through picturesque mountain
villages of the Gurungs (The
Gurungs form the backbone of
the famous Gorkha regiments)
community passing through
forests of spectacular
Rhododendrons alive with an
amazing variety of birds and
flowers. It is probably the
best short trek in Nepal,
which offers you a dramatic
close up view of Annapurna I
(8,091m), Dhaulagiri
(8,167m) and Machhapuchhare-the
Fish-Tail Mountain (6,997m)
in their full glory.
Two full days are spent at
the Royal Chitwan National
Park reputed to be the best
managed wildlife park in
Asia. Elephant back safari,
canoe ride and jungle walk
in search of the One horned
rhinoceros, leopards, deer,
crocodiles and birds is an
experience of a lifetime.
The only complaint we get on
this trip is that it ended
too soon. |

Langtang Region |
|
A full day is
spent in Kathmandu, visiting the two cities
of Bhaktapur and Kathmandu and to prepare
for the trek that starts the following day.
Langtang trek
starts from Syabru Besi after an
interesting, but rough six-hour drive from
Kathmandu. This is a picturesque trek rich
in cultural heritage and delightful animal
and plant life. The spring brings out
flowers like Primula, blue iris, edelweiss
and rhododendrons and we may also see a Tahr
(a large mountain goat), Bear, Deer and
possibly Red Panda and a wide variety of
bird life. It is perhaps the best
introduction to the Nepal Himalayas. Follow
the Trishuli river north and then up into
the wide alpine valley of Langtang from
where the great peaks become visible -
Ganesh (7,407 m), Langtang Lirung (7,246 m),
Dorje Lakpa (6,975 m) and many others. Your
final destination at Kyanjin Gompa (3,950 m)
is near the end of the valley offering
spectacular day excursions to vantage points
with superb views of Lantang Lirung. It is
also possible to explore the glaciers and
the yak pastures of Langsisa.
On our return journey, we take a higher
route to the holy lakes at Gosaikunda from
where you get a scintillating panoramic view
of the Himalayan ranges stretching from
Dhaulagir (8,167m) and Annapurna (8,091m) in
the west to Mount Everest (8,848m) in the
far east. The trail continues further south
passing through Thare Pati and finally ends
in Kathmandu

Langtang, Gosainkunda &
Helambu |
Langtang valley is renowned
for its spectacular scenery,
wildlife and beautiful
alpine flowers like Primula,
blue iris, edelweiss and
rhododendrons. Wildlife such
as Tahr (a large mountain
goat), Bear, Deer and
possibly Red Panda and a
wide variety of bird life
are seen on this trek.
In this region, the contrast
in climate, terrain, flora
and fauna within a short
distance is amazing. You can
see the drastic change from
a tropical climate to the
freezing alpine landscape
within a days walk.
Trekkers are rewarded with a
view of the great snowy
peaks - Ganesh Himal
(7,407m), Langtang Lirung
(7,246m), Dorje Lakpa
(6,975m). A day is spent at
Kyangin Gompa (3,749m) to
explore the glaciers and the
yak pastures of Langsisa.
On our return trip, we take
a higher route to
Gosainkunda, which is a very
important annual pilgrimage
site for Hindus. On the last
leg of the trek we pass
through the Sherpa village
of Tarke Ghyang where
farming and Yak herding is
the major occupation of the
locals. This memorable trek
finally winds up in
Kathmandu. |
