In and Around Kathmandu Valley :

Kathmandu Valley is the arrival point and the first and last stop for all visitors flying into and out of Nepal. The Valley is the political, commercial and the cultural hub of Nepal. The three great medieval cities in the valley – KATHMANDU, PATAN and BHAKTAPUR are the three major places of interest – each with its own numerous temples, monuments and palaces of exquisite art and architecture vividly reflecting the artistic ingenuity and the religious tradition of the people. A stroll around the quaint streets with intricately carved houses and the market places lined with colorful displays of all items imaginable is a unique experience. Excursions in and around the inner villages still untouched by modern civilization give the visitor an in-depth view of Nepal and its people. “Travelling back in time” is the expression many use.

The activities available within the valley are, sightseeing tours to the villages and cities, day or overnight excursions to the hill resorts for superb mountain views during sunrise or sunset. Scenic countryside day hikes or longer treks ranging from one to four days around the rim of the valley are also available.

 

Kathmandu City :

KATHMANDU  

The Kathmandu tour starts with a walk across the modern shopping area of New Road to the ancient complex of palaces, courtyards and temples, built between 12th and 18th century by the Malla Kings. This complex is known as the Kathmandu Durbar Square - which literally means the “Palace Square”. The Temple of the Living Goddess also lies here.
 
SWYAMBHUNATH

The stupa of Swayambhunath with its all seeing eyes is perched on top of a hillock overlooking Kathmandu. Swayambhunath is perhaps the best example of the religious harmony of Nepal where both Hindus and Buddhists flock to pay their homage. This Buddhist shrine is considered to be over 2000 years old.
 
BOUDHANATH STUPA

Boudhanath is among the largest stupas in South Asia and it is the focal point of Tibetan Buddhism in Nepal. This colossal stupa looms 36 meters high. Monks in maroon robes and Tibetans with prayer wheels circumambulate the stupa mumbling prayer. All around the stupa are interesting small souvenir stores.
 
PASHUPATINATH

Temple of Pashupatinath - dedicated to Lord Shiva is considered as the most sacred of Hindu Shrines around the world. It is situated along the banks of River Bagmati where devotees can be seen taking ritual dips in this holy river. It is also a site where Hindus cremate their dead. A temple dedicated to Shiva existed at this site in AD 879. However, the present temple was built by King Bhupatindra mall in 1697.
 

Patan City :

PATAN CITY

This ancient City is noted for its craftsmen and metal workers. The work of art can be seen in the numerous temples and monuments of both Hindu and Buddhist origins. The Patan Durbar Square is the main area of attraction. Also visit to the handicraft center where the best of the artisans gather to display their products. Tibetan refugee camp in Patan was also established specially for the Refugees from Tibet but it has now turned into a thriving center for some of the finest Tibetan carpets in Nepal.
 
BUNGAMATI

A visit to the ancient 16th century Newari Town of Bungamati is a special experience. It is one of the few settlements that has been least affected by modern changes. A small farming villages where wood carving and pottery are the alternate source of income. A Cultural experience that takes you back centuries.
 

Bhaktapur City :

BHAKTAPUR CITY

Bhaktapur City is literally translated as the " City of Devotees". The artisans of Bhaktapure excelled in the traditional craft of stone and woodcarving. The excellence of this trade can be observed with a stroll around the Palace square with its many temples and monuments of exquisite architecture and artistic beauty of which the 55 – Windowed Palace and its Golden Gate, the Peacock Windows and the Natapola Temple all built during the reign of King Bhupetendra Malla In AD 1702, are just a few examples. A visit to the potters’ square can also be very interesting. Men, women and children work with clay, molding pots of amazing designs with their hands. It is a place where people welcome you will smiles making you very comfortable City .
 

Kirtipur City :

KIRTIPUR

Kirtipur is another ancient Newar Township about 10 Km south east of Kathmandu. The people here are known for their skill in building and weaving. This natural fortress like town has a proud history. The tour to Kirtipur takes you through quaint streets lined with artistic houses and temple squares.
